Born on Feb. 29, 1944 in Chicago, IL, Farina was raised in a working class neighborhood on the north side by his father, Joseph, a doctor and his mother, Yolanda, a homemaker, both of whom hailed from Italy. Though he grew up watching movies like any other kid in the neighborhood, Farina never considered being an actor or even aspired to be a star....
