Rachel McAdams was born on Oct. 7, 1978 in London, Ontario and was raised in the nearby town of St. Thomas. She began figure skating at the age of four and competed in the sport all the way through high school, earning regional honors. At 10 years old, she also became involved with the Original Kids Theatre Company in London, appearing in productions of Shakespeare and other classics.
