'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' Episode VIII and IX To Keep Focus On Luke Skywalker's Family

Luke Skywalker
There's a good possibility that there will be more than one character in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" with the surname Skywalker, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy all but confirmed that this weekend.

The movie producer told warehouse store Costco's Costco Connection magazine that the sequel trilogy will focus on the continuing story of the Skywalker family, which began with Luke Skywalker in the very first "Star Wars" trilogy and continued on with the story of his father, Anakin, in the saga's prequel trilogy.

“The Saga films focus on the Skywalker family,” Kennedy said. "The st...

Australian Actor Says Admiral Ackbar Will Be In 'The Force Awakens'

Admiral Ackbar
That's what the Australian actor who played the leader of the Rebellion in Return of the Jedi says.

Tim Rose told the Australian Associated Press (AAP) (via The Australian) that he'll be reprising his 1983 role as the amphibious Mon Calamari commander in the highly anticipated seventh episode of the beloved sci-fi saga -- but he's not too thrilled about the secrecy surrounding the film.

"I'm very frustrated by that. Out of the need to be secret, we're not actually able to get everything we need to do our jobs as well as we could," he says. "And as someone who has been doing it for 35 year...

Kirsten Dunst Slams The Movie Business, Says Best Opportunities
Kirsten Dunst has had a long and successful career in Hollywood, and she's probably best remembered for her role as Mary Jane in the 2002 'Spiderman' movie some 13 years ago. But despite her success in some major blockbusters, Dunst now says she feels the best opportunities for creatives in Hollywood are in television, not film.

Dunst was interviewed by the U.K.'s Guardian for a piece that was published Sunday.

"People don't go to the cinema unless it's an event any more," the actress said. "The movie industry is a weird place, for sure, and the creative people are blossoming on televisio...

Matthew McConaughey - Gold Movie Set
Actor Matthew McConaughey once dropped a large amount of weight to play the role that won him an Oscar in 'Dallas Buyers Club,' so it's clear he's a professional who is willing to do just about anything to fit the part he's asked to play. But that doesn't make his latest transformation any easier to look at.

The Academy Award winner was spotted this past weekend on the set of his new movie 'Gold,' and if you didn't know better, you might have been hard-pressed to tell that it was him. The actor is currently trading his six-pack abs and good looks for some extra body fat and a balding head....

'Time Out Of Mind’ Makes An Important Message About The Homeless

10/2/2015 1:30pm EDT
Time Out of Mind
Writer/director Oren Moverman's drama Time Out of Mind makes a definitive artistic statement about how we treat the homeless in the United States. His film contends that we view the homeless as inhuman and willfully ignore their existence. It also argues that our indifference has created a societal system that prevents them from breaking out of their situation. These main points are thoroughly reinforced by the movie's story and by how it is shot and edited.

Moverman shoots much of the film with hidden cameras, where we either observe the lead character (Richard Gere) from a distance. Your...
