Ariana Grande Fails To Capture No. 1 Spot

Drake Still Tops, Ariana Grande Settles For No. 2 On The Billboa
For the first time in her short career, Ariana Grande misses the no. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. Grande’s third album, Dangerous Woman, settles for no. 2 behind Drake’s seemingly unstoppable Views. Views once more WASN’T the top selling album – neither was Dangerous Woman for that matter – but continues to thrive off streams and track sales, hence beating Dangerous Woman on the Billboard 200. Views moved 189,000 units compared to Dangerous Woman’s 175,000 units. Drake’s sales only comprised of 26% of his overall totals, while Grande’s sales comprised a stronger 74%.

How Does Fifth Harmony's '7/27' Stack Up?

5/30/2016 12:48pm EDT
Fifth Harmony Keep The Swag Flowing On '7/27'
Back in 2015, X-Factor US alums, Fifth Harmony proved themselves as arguably the sole musical act able to gain sustainable success beyond the show. Album Reflections was chocked full of swag and earned our approval, not to mention gold certification by the RIAA. On sophomore album 7/27, the feisty girl group aims to keep the swag flowing, capitalizing on the success of their debut.

7/27 opens energetically with “That’s My Girl.” The stomping four on the floor beat is enough to make the squarest person want to “bust a move.” That said, maybe the biggest rub is what made former hit “Wort...

What In The World Is Little Big Town Doing?

Little Big Town’s 'One of Those Days' Surprises Ahead of 'Wander
The following question is a fair question, even if it’s more of an exclamatory statement. Okay – here it goes! What in the world is Little Big Town doing? The country quartet has become one country’s most popular acts by all means, serving up two huge hits in “Day Drinking” and “Girl Crush” most recently. “Girl Crush” certainly ruffled eyebrows upon its release from the collective’s 2014 album Pain Killer, but it certainly didn’t do too shabby for itself, earning two Grammys including Best Country Duo/Group Performance. So to reiterate, why the inquiry as to “what in the world is Little ...

Jay-Z Bites Back At Beyonce's 'Lemonade' With Track Of His Own
Jay-Z has finally responded to his wife Beyonce's scathing attack on him via "Lemonade."

One month after setting the Beyhive buzzing, just wondering whom it was she was talking about in her newest tune, Jay-Z responded to his haters in his own way with a tune titled "All the Way Up."

The track also features Fat Joe, Infared, Rema Ma and French Montana.

"All the Way Up" is the only time the music mogul has officially commented on Beyonce's album and allegations regarding his infidelity.

"Lemonade" pulled the covers back on the troubles within the power couple's marriage.

Issues Deliver An Energetic, Busy Effort On 'Headspace'

Issues Deliver An Energetic, Busy Effort On 'Headspace'
New listening experiences can be eye opening. New listening experiences can also be confusing to the nth degree. Rock band Issues seems to fuse both sentiments, blending metalcore and R&B, two completely unrelated styles. Furthermore, Issues incorporates an unclean vocalist (Matt Bohn) and a clean vocalist (Tyler Carter). No, we’re not talking about spirituality here! Carter provides the R&B edge.

Headspace isn’t the band’s first rodeo by any means; it represents the collective’s third album, and it is indeed interesting. It opens in confounding fashion with “The Realest.” Like many forthc...

Blake Shelton’s Latest Album Receiving Mixed Reviews From Critics

5/25/2016 9:27am EDT
Blake Shelton has a lot going for him lately. He’s allegedly engaged to Gwen Stefani, he makes for fantastic television on The Voice, and he’s scored numerous successful country albums. All seems to be right in the world for Blake Shelton… except for the album reviews for If I’m Honest, if “we’re being totally honest.” Essentially, it seems, reading into critical views that Shelton’s latest album is mixed. It depends on who you ask.

One thing that has hurt Shelton’s case critically with If I’m Honest is the lack of major publication reviews, at least via Metacritic. Metacritic, a site th...

Fifth Harmony’s '7/27' Leads Albums To Check Out
Ah, it’s the final new music release week in May! Like weeks prior, there are some highly anticipated albums. It’s a toss-up who’s the favorite – X-Factor US alums Fifth Harmony or well-established country singer Dierks Bentley. Regardless, both should make an impact on the Billboard 200. The rest of the newbies aren’t quite as ‘big’ but certainly seem worthwhile listening experiences…at least on paper…

1) Fifth Harmony, 7/27 (Epic)

7/27. 7/27 arrives little more than a year after the girl group’s debut Reflections. 7/27 runs just 12 tracks in its deluxe version. Single “Work from Hom...

In an Instagram post, the "Company" singer revealed his feelings about being lauded by the industry in a lengthy missive.
