Delerium is a Canadian musical group that formed in 1987, originally as a side project of the influential industrial music act Front Line Assembly. Their musical style includes ambient trance, industrial soundscapes, and electronic pop music. Delerium began as a duo with Bill Leeb and Michael Balch. Leeb was a fan and occasional collaborator of industrial dance pioneers Skinny Puppy, and in 1986 he left that group to start his own project, Front Line Assembly with Michael Balch. The duo went on to create the side project, Delerium, and released their debut album, “Faces, Forms & Illusions” in 1989.
