The Emotions is an all-female R&B/Soul vocal group that formed in their hometown of Chicago, and originally consisted of sisters Sheila Hutchinson, Wanda Hutchinson and Jeanette Hutchinson. The sisters’ father was instrumental in honing their talents, teaching the girls to play instruments and sing from an early age. At the age of 5, the girls began singing publically in their local church choir under the name, The Hutchinson Sunbeams.
