Foster the People is an indie rock band from Los Angeles, California founded in 2009. Members include Mark Foster on keyboards, guitars, and vocals, Mark Pontius on drums and Cubbie Fink on bass and backing vocals. They released an EP in 2011 titled “Foster the People EP.” The single "Pumped Up Kicks” reached #4 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart as well as #10 on the Rock Songs chart. It was followed that year by their debut full-length album, “Torches.” The album reached #8 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, #1 on the Alternative Albums chart and #2 on the Rock Albums chart.
