Lamb of God is an American heavy metal band from Richmond, Virginia. Originally known under the moniker "Burn the Priest", the band was founded in 1990 by Chris Adler, John Campbell and Mark Morton. In 1997, Burn the Priest released two split 7-inches with ZED and Agents of Satan. The next year, the band issued a compilation CD of singles and other one-off tracks titled “Sevens and More” issued by the now-defunct Their self-titled full-length debut, released through Legion Records, followed in 1999.
