Night Ranger is an American rock band that hail from San Francisco and reached the height of their popularity during the 1980s. The band came together from the ashes of another band, Rubicon, when ex-bassist Jack Blades, drummer Kelly Keagy and guitarist Brad Gillis decided to form another band. The trio recruited keyboardist Alan Fitzgerald, and second guitarist Jeff Watson, to round out the band. The band's debut album, “Dawn Patrol” appeared in 1982 on Boardwalk Records, which was followed up with opening slots for ZZ Top and Ozzy Osbourne.
