Seals and Crofts is a soft rock duo comprised of James Seals, who was born on October 17, 1941 in Sidney, Texas and Dash Crofts, who was born on August 14, 1940 in Cisco, Texas. The duo hit the height of its success in the 1970s and is best known for their hit singles, “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl” and “Get Closer.” Seals and Crofts met when they were both playing in local bands in and around Texas, both joined the band Dean Beard and the Crew Cuts and moved to Los Angeles, California to further their music careers.
