The Rembrandts are an American pop and rock duo formed by Phil Solem and Danny Wilde in 1989. Solem and Wilde had previously worked together as members of the group Great Buildings in the early eighties, releasing one critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful album in 1981. The Rembrandts are best known for their song “I'll Be There for You,” which was used as the theme song for the internationally successful television sitcom Friends. Both Phil Solem and Danny Wilde were well regarded in the music industry before forming The Rembrandts.
