Anthony Terrell Smith was born on March 3, 1966 in Los Angeles, California, and is a rap artist and actor better known by his stage name Tone Loc. Known for his deep, hoarse voice, Tone Loc shot to fame with his massive hit singles, “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina.” Tone Loc's debut album, “Loc-ed After Dark” arrived in 1989 on Delicious Vinyl Records and was met with huge success based on the popularity of his two hit songs. The album is the second rap album to ever top the U.S Pop Charts. 1991 saw Loc's second offering, “Cool Hand Loc” emerge, which was not as commercially successful as its predecessor.
