'The Walking Dead' Recap: Rick’s Thrilling Rampage Highlights Season 4 Finale

'The Walking Dead' Recap: Rick’s Thrilling Rampage Highlights Se
The second half of the fourth season of The Walking Dead has been a mixed bag. On one hand, our core characters have been heading towards a goal (the Terminus promise land) with interesting groupings and jaw dropping reveals. Michonne, Carl, and Rick’s scenes have been particularly enjoyable, as their dynamic is refreshing and fun. The scenes with Carol, Tyrese, and their psychotic band of kids were filled with nail-biting anticipation. However, other groups were more of the same. Was anybody enjoying Daryl and Beth’s quest for hope? Did anybody think Maggie and Glenn weren’t going to meet ...

Recap: 'The Walking Dead' Season 4 Episode 14 'The Grove'
Ready for one of the most horrifying and depressing episode in The Walking Dead history? If you thought the theme of loneliness in the last episode was heartbreaking, you definitely weren’t prepared for what The Grove had to bring. The episode focused solely on Carol, Tyreese, and the three young girls, Lizzie, Mika, and Judith, under their wings.

Where We Begin

The group continues their quest towards the mythic Terminus. It’s been a troubling while since they saw a map and sign leading them, so they take shelter in a rustic home, set with a wire fence and plenty of pecans to eat. They ha...

'True Detective': Memorable Moments From The Season 1 Finale
Welcome to the final episode of True Detective season one, in which you say goodbye to one of the most epic fictional detectives ever and all your fan theories are proven wrong.

Horror Movie Hillbillies

What a disappointment it was to see that the scarred man, who popped up mowing lawns and giving directions in the most ominous way possible, was not much more than a horror movie cliché. His name is William Lee Childress and he’s nothing new. In a show that constantly pushed the boundaries of what a detective show could be, Childress was just another retread of what’s been done a dozen tim...

Recap: 'The Walking Dead' Season 4 Episode 13 'Alone'

March 10th, 2014 9:03am EDT
The Walking Dead
Would the writer who decided that Beth and Daryl together were an interesting pairing please step forward? I have a strongly worded letter to hand you. This is the third episode where they’ve been heavily featured. Yet, nothing of significance has really happened before tonight. I’m all about the character development but it needs to be dispersed with some plot as well.

“Alone” is following last week’s episode that was declared by many, namely me, to be the most boring episode the show has ever produced. That’s why it was so disappointing to see the duo pop up again in the very next episod...

'True Detective': Memorable Moments From 'After You've Gone'
First of all, congratulations to Matthew McConaughey for his Oscar win last night. No doubt a small part of his win has to do with his incredible performance as Rust Cohle and the True Detective phenomenon. Unfortunately, tonight’s episode overlapped with the Oscars.

Hart Was On Point With His Insults:

His hatred of Cohle sure resulted in some great one-liners.

“Time has a way with us all. You must have pissed him off.”

“If you were drowning, I’d throw you a f*****g barbell.”

“You told yourself this story and kept drinking it ‘til you believed it.”

What’s Hart Been Doing Since 200...

'Hannibal': Memorable Moments From The Season 2 Premiere 'Kaiseki'

March 1st, 2014 8:43am EST
Hannibal
Hannibal’s much anticipated season two premiere sure opened with a smash. Beginning 12 weeks in the future, we are treated with the sort of epic fight scene that only a food-obsessed, epically violent show like Hannibal could deliver.

We begin with Jack Crawford coming into Hannibal Lector’s kitchen during what was presumably a nice dinner meeting. (Hannibal smiles like they’ve been getting along.) But Jack’s face is filled with quiet anger. In Red Dragon, Will discovers that Hannibal is a killer by seeing his drawings and putting the clues together. Could Jack’s discovery be similar?

Thi...

When season one of Hannibal ended, viewers were left with one major, baffling question: How were we going to survive the long hiatus? Hannibal Lector, one of the world’s most terrifying cannibalistic serial killers, managed to shift focus of his own crimes onto his fragile best friend. Meanwhile, the people Will was closest to, including Jack and Alana, were convinced of his guilt. Would Will be able to use his incredible mind to find a way out of his predica...

'The Americans': Memorable Moments From 'Comrades'
Plot: Elizabeth returns home after recovering from the gunshot wound she received at the end of last season. She is immediately thrown back into the fray, attending her child’s birthday party and having sex with a target for a mission during the course of a single day. She and Phillip work together with another spy couple, Emmett and Leanne, who are strikingly similar, set with a fake marriage, two children, and a convincingly perfect life.

During what should be a standard pick up at a carnival, the spy couple is killed in their hotel room, along with their teenage daughter. Their deaths ...

5 Reasons Why You Should Watch 'The Americans'

February 26th, 2014 2:32pm EST
The Americans
FX currently airs some of the best shows on television. With Justified, Archer, Sons of Anarchy, American Horror Story, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Louie, it really is an embarrassment of riches for a single network. FX is the rare network that allows show runners to do their own thing, with minimal interference. That alone should be a glowing endorsement for The Americans, a series that follows two KGB spies during the Cold War.

Elizabeth and Philip Jennings have been undercover as normal US citizens for over a decade. By day they pretend to be the perfect married couple and pa...
