Every fall a new batch of television shows emerge, and this year’s lineup is filled with familiar faces, promising new talents and exciting storylines. Here are 10 TV shows we are most looking forward to:
1. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” ABC (airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m., premieres Sept. 24)
Joss Whedon thrilled Marvel fans with “The Avengers,” and they’re are likely to geek out once more with “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Whedon serves as executive producer on the show, which follows the team that assembled the Avengers on varying missions around the globe. Leading the pack to solve unexplainable mysteries is fan-favorite Clark Gregg, reprising his film role as Agent Phil Coulson.
2. “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” ABC (airing Thursdays at 8 p.m., premieres Oct. 10)
Fans of ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” are likely to enjoy this spin-off, which follows a young woman named Alice on a quest to save her true love in the fantastical world of Wonderland. Much like its sister show, “Wonderland” is heavy on the visual effects, resulting in a show filled with awe and whimsy.
3. “Almost Human,” FOX (airing Mondays at 8 p.m., premieres Nov. 4)
“Almost Human” takes place in the year 2048, when human cops are required to partner up and work with human-like robots. Geek-tastic producers J.J. Abrams and J.H. Wyman, known for their work on cult faves “Lost” and “Fringe,” are behind this new, exciting sci-fi drama.

5. “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” FOX (airing Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m., premieres Sept. 17)
“Saturday Night Live” alum Andy Samberg stars as a dimwitted New York detective whose goofy persona clashes with his no-nonsense boss. The half-hour comedy comes from the creators of “Parks and Recreation,” and with Samberg at the helm, the show is bound to bring in some serious laughs.
6. “The Crazy Ones,” CBS (airing Thursdays at 9 p.m, premieres Sept. 26)
Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar star as a father-daughter team working together to run a successful ad agency. Though their characters are polar opposites—he’s unpredictable and she’s a tad high maintenance—the two television vets play off one another nicely in this colorful comedy.
7.“Mom,” CBS (airing Mondays at 9:30 p.m., premieres Sept. 23)
Funny gal Anna Faris plays a newly sober single mom trying to raise two kids while navigating around a complicated relationship with her previously estranged recovering alcoholic mother, played by Emmy-award winner Allison Janney.
