BBC Launches 'Dancing With The Stars: Keep Dancing' Online Game

September 15th, 2012 7:30am EDT

Dancing With The Stars As ABC prepares for a new season of Dancing With The Stars, BBC Worldwide is launching a new online game that allows fans to design their own dancer, pick their partner and participate in a virtual competition for the Mirrorball Trophy.

Dancing With The Stars: Keep Dancing features motion capture provided by two of the show's professionals, Kym Johnson and Tristan McManus. Of her experience working on the video game, Johnson said "It was very different [from] dancing on the show, as it was very stop and start. Instead of doing a full routine all at once, we had to do it in sections and it was one bit after the other. It wasn't fluid like a professional dance is. It was a lot more technical than it was artistic."

She also dished on re-teaming with Joey Fatone for the upcoming All-Stars season of the TV series. "I am really excited to be partnered with him again," she said. "I'm looking forward to doing the Argentine Tango, as we didn't get the chance to perform that one the show and that is my favorite dance!"

You can log on to DWTS: Keep Dancing by clicking here and check out a screen capture from the game below. Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars begins Monday, September 24 at 8 PM ET/PT on ABC.
