December 12th, 2012 12:07pm EST

Kim Kardashian and Jon Hamm There have been celebrity feuds since there have been celebrities, but before the rise of social media these feuds were held through snappy comments in magazines and newspapers. Now, with the popularity of Twitter, millions can watch their favorite celebrities duke it out in real-time! These are the Top 10 Celebrity Twitter Feuds of 2012!

Jon Hamm vs Kim Kardashian

This petty feud started when Hamm told Elle in an interview, “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f—ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly.”

Kardashian kept it clean and wrote back, “calling someone who runs their own business, is part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs and creates ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless.”

Hamm then said he was taken out of context. Don't worry, these feuds only get nastier…

Anderson Cooper vs MIA

M.I.A. told her fans to check out a documentary on the fighting in Sri Lanka and the Tamil Tigers group, Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields, then bashed Anderson for calling her a terrorist: "someone should make @AndersonCooper watch it / film it and show the world what happens when respected journos get it wrong.

“@AndersonCooper called me a terrorist for speaking out, and expressed support for the SLgov when this was happening.”

“What are you talking about?” he responded. “You are mistaken. I never called you a terrorist. I don’t even know who you are other than the lady who sang at superbowl…By the way, I defended your finger pointing at the superbowl, so check your facts. I’ve no idea what youre tweeting about.”

M.I.A. continued to accuse Cooper of calling her a terrorist: “in 2009 u linked to a articl that was written about me with false info. there was a rebuttal on ur 360 site…2 months later 1ce every tamil had been silenced including me, the SLGOV carried out the killing of 40, 000 civilians.”

Anderson pointed out, “you’ve gone from saying ‘I wrote’, ‘I called you,’ to saying my cnn show blog had a link to an article. Big difference…we link to many articles with different viewpoints, and we gave you an opportunity to respond. I can understand your frustration if someone wrote untrue things about you, and I’m glad you were able to respond.”

The two hashed out their differences, and all was well.

Leah Remini vs Sharon Osbourne

After Remini was fired from The Talk, she blamed one woman: Sharon Osbourne. "Sharon thought me and Holly were 'ghetto'" she tweeted. "We were not funny, awkward and didn't know ourselves. She has the power that was given to her."

Osbourne responded, "In response to Leah Remini's continuous comments that I had her fired from "The Talk," let me just go on the record to say I had absolutely nothing to do with her departure from the show and have no idea why she continues to take to Twitter to spread this false gossip."

Remini wrote later, "I will not respond to Sharon BUT only to say this, IF she wanted to clear it up she has my number & has had ALL this time and didnt use it.not even to say she was sorry. so to Sharon I say... Well done Sharon, you won. I will move on now as you suggested. And so should u. Be at Peace."

The Wanted's Max George vs One Direction's Zayn Malik

The shots heard 'round the tween world. After what appeared to be somewhat light-hearted jabs at one another, Zayn tweeted "the first step is acceptance" when Max posted a photo of himself with PSY enjoying a drink. Zayn then wrote, "p.s your display just how's how much of a wannabe you are :)"

Thomas Parker, also from The Wanted, wrote: "I think “1 stripes” got his knickers in a twist bro," which Zayn didn't take kindly. "mate if I had a face like yours my hair would be the last thing I'd worry about :)""

Zayn moved to end the back-and-forth, saying he was headed to rehearsals. Max wrote, "enjoy rehearsals. Stay off the bud... It clearly makes u cranky," which cause Zayn to snap back with "Alright chlamydia boy ;)" Yikes!

Nicki Minaj vs Steven Tyler

Former judge Tyler criticized the new panel for American Idol in an interview with MTV. "You just have to give your opinion ... These kids, they just got out of a car from the Midwest somewhere and they're in New York City, they're scared to death.

"If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield! Whereas, if it was Bob Dylan with us, we would have brought the best of him out, as we did with Phillip Phillips."

Minaj responded with a long rant that accused Tyler of racism. "Steven Tyler said I would have sent Bob Dylan to a cornfield??? Steven, you haven't seen me judge one single solitary contestant yet!

"I understand you really wanted to keep your job but take that up with the producers. I haven't done anything to you. That's a racist comment.

"You assume that I wouldn't have liked Bob Dylan??? why? black? rapper? what? go f$%& yourself and worry about yourself babe."

Tyler later apologized.

Chris Brown vs Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert was puzzled after Brown won a Grammy and performed twice at the awards in February. "Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl...Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to "Gunpowder and Lead" and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys."

Brown snapped a few days later: "Using my name to get publicity? I love it! Perform your heart out! Go buy Miranda Lambert album! So motivational and 'PERFECT'!"

It wouldn't be the last time he took someone on via twitter.

Chris Brown vs Brian McKnight

McKnight alluded to Brown when he tweeted, "Since everyone's so opinionated I'm taking suggestions on what I should do next I'm thinking rent a lambo and beat the s--- outta my girl…That's acceptable these days."

Brown shot back, "I see how this works now… When peoples careers get to the 'nobody cares' stage they use my name for publicity! lol I can't keep helping these old n----. Its a miracle the way I'm bring the dead alive." Don't worry, we're saving Chris Brown's worst for last.

Rita Ora vs Rob Kardashian

Sounds like these two had a feud in real life, and then Rob aired it all out on Twitter.

"When a woman cheats on you with one man I can live with that. People make mistakes, trust me. I have forgiven numerous times…

"But when a woman disrespects herself by messing with more than 20 men all while being in a relationship with a Faithful man…"

He goes on from there. He claims he wasn't talking about his recent ex, Rita. I mean, really?

Chris Brown vs Jenny Johnson

Might as well end with the man who could make up a top 10 twitter feud list all by himself. Brown got in a brutal back-and-forth with comedienne Johnson that ended with Brown deleting his account for a while. After Brown tweeted he "looked old" for the age of 23, Johnson replied: "I know! Being a worthless piece of s#$% can really age a person."

Chris took offense, naturally, so he replied with "take them teeth out when u Sucking my d#$% HOE."

Johnson replied with a spelling correction for Brown's tweet, and it got nastier from there. Brown started making references to defecating on her face, and Johnson linked to stories detailing Chris' attack on Rihanna. When Brown left Twitter, his fans sent death threats to Johnson.
