February 3rd, 2013 3:07pm EST
You can't go one week without hearing a ridiculous story involving some of your favorite celebrities. Thankfully, the Starpulse Rumor Patrol is here to sort out what's real and what's fake.
Dan Marino's Baby Drama: NFL Hall of Famer Dan Marino father a love child in an affair in 2004? Rumors of a CBS (the channel Dan Marino works for) production assistant gave birth to his daughter almost ten years ago.
Verdict: True. The revelation couldn't come at a worse time for Marino, with the Super Bowl being aired on CBS this week. Also being reported is that Dan paid million in hush money to the unnamed woman and moved her out to Texas. Marino released a statement saying, "I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved. My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together. And we continue to be a strong and loving family."
Miley Cyrus Already Married: Miley caused a stir with her recent interview in Cosmopolitan. She referred to fiancé Liam Hemsworth as "hubby" several times, causing tabloids and others to believe the two secretly got hitched. Quotes included stories like: "One guy called me and said, 'Miley, I don’t know what to do — this girl won’t leave my house. It’s 6:00 and I have a blind date at 6:30.' And I was like, 'I'm so happy I’m married, because you guys are cruel!'"
Verdict: False. "Haha! Already confirmed I AIN’T MARRIED! Just engaged to a sweeeetie pie," Miley tweeted in reference to the rumors. Turns out it's just a pet name for her soon-to-be hubby for real.
Chris Brown Shuts Down Instagram Account: Did the divisive rapper really shut down his Instagram account following criticism for his post comparing himself to Jesus Christ?
Verdict: True. Brown said of the matter, "Elevate yourself above the negative, and if it doesn’t work…move on! Respect myself and my fans enough to want to be great. But… social media takes away the essence of why we are even special or icons. So with that, I’m detaching myself from that world." With his Twitter account dead as well, we'll have to see how long Chris stays off social media... especially when he has a new album to promote.
