Daft Punk Daft Punk's new single, Get Lucky, is already Spotify's most streamed track in history.
The tune from the venerable music group's upcoming album, featuring Pharell Williams, was released on free music streaming platform Spotify Friday - where it quickly racked up plays until it was crowned the most played song.
Spotify executive Will Hope says, "There was never any doubt that the first original single from Daft Punk in years was going to be one of the biggest debut singles of 2013.
"The robots have once again shown themselves to be true innovators, not only with their new musical direction and the stellar cast of collaborators they're working with, but also by undertaking one of the best album campaigns we've seen for some time.
We expect the album to become one of the biggest, if not the biggest, on Spotify this year."
Random Access Memories, Daft Punk's first new album in eight years, is currently set for a May 20 release.
