Rumor Patrol: Kanye Reveals Baby Due Date, Lindsay Lohan's Lawyer Lied, More
May 5th, 2013 1:07pm EDT
You can't go one week without hearing a ridiculous story involving some of your favorite celebrities. Thankfully, the Starpulse Rumor Patrol is here to sort out what's real and what's fake.
Kanye West Reveals Album Date… Or Child's Due Date: Kanye West hasn't been active on Twitter since November, but he just posted two words to his millions of followers: "June Eighteen." So did he just reveal the date his new album is dropping, or did he let slip the date his child with Kim Kardashian is due?
Verdict: Leaning Album. Let's look at the facts: Kanye will be on Saturday Night Live May 18 to debut some new music, which he has been working on for months now. June 18 is a Tuesday, when new music is released. Kim said their child is due in July, but due dates can vary. For now we think it's the day his album comes out, although it'd be funny if he publicized another story Kris Jenner had hoped to sell to a magazine.
Lindsay Lohan's Lawyer Lied: Did Lindsay's lawyer, Mark Heller, lie when he said in court this morning the star was already in rehab? He claimed she was "ensconced in the bosom" of Morningside Recovery Center, but there are now reports Lindsay was out and about Los Angeles that morning.
Verdict: Unknown. What we do know, according to RumorFix, is that Splash News took photos of Lindsay shopping at 8:45 A.M., 10 miles north of the rehab facility. Just after 9 A.M., her lawyer claimed she was checked into the facility. Seems like a quick turnaround. She may have checked back out, but that would violate the terms of her plea deal that she would check into a lockdown facility that would not allow her to leave. We can't wait to see how this turns out!
Nicki Minaj Slams Mariah Carey: Is Nicki Minaj calling out Mariah Carey again? Minaj ranted on Twitter following this week's American Idol episodes, and it appears she's taking on Mariah Carey, who was reportedly going to be replaced by Jennifer Lopez before Carey threatened to sue the show's producers.
Verdict: True. Minaj is definitely throwing shade at Mariah, and we point to these following tweets to prove it. "What u SHOULD be doing (wit your messy a**) is asking why a woman SO successful at her age, is still so INSECURE, and bitter," Minaj wrote in response to an Idol recap. "All dem #1s but JLo phone ringin? Lol. I guess having a personality, being a secure woman, and giving genuine critique still trumps that." There could be some nasty fights on live TV soon…
