Rumor Patrol: Jennifer Lopez Rejected By 'The Voice,' Chris Brown Retiring, More

You can't go one week without hearing a ridiculous story involving some of your favorite celebrities. Thankfully, the Starpulse Rumor Patrol is here to sort out what's real and what's fake.
Jennifer Lopez Denied Spot On The Voice: Was Jennifer Lopez forced to return to American Idol after The Voice denied her a spot - even as a guest mentor?
Verdict: False. A source tells Gossip Cop that there was never a conversation about Jennifer Lopez joining The Voice as either a judge or a mentor. However, FOX is definitely in negotiations with Lopez over a return to American Idol. "Returning to ‘American Idol’ isn’t about being turned down by any show, and it’s not about money," the source said.
Steve Aoki Smacks Disabled Fan With Cake: Did the DJ really toss a cake from the stage and nail a fan in a wheelchair?
Verdict: True. Aoki throws two cakes every show into the crowd, and this show was no exception. However, it's not what you think: the guy who got hit is a big fan and was asking for it! Aoki even tweeted to his fan after the show, “i love this kid! i still cant believe i threw this cake 80 feet direct to the face! love u dawg!” You can check out the video of the cake toss below.
Chris Brown Retiring: Is the rapper ready to quit and disappear from the music scene? He wrote on Twitter, "Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album... Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18."
Verdict: Plausible. Obviously we don't know for sure if Chris will follow through. However, we do know that any time there is a story on him, his past is brought up. We're sure that's annoying for him. While Brown's songs burn up the charts, his album sales have tumbled since his first two records. We have a feeling we haven't heard the last of Chris, unless he's saved up a lot of money.
