Matt Damon Made $150,000 Per Second Making Nespresso Ad
Celebrities love filming advertisements overseas, and this may be why: Matt Damon made an astonishing $3 million for filming a single ad.
Page Six reports the actor made the sum for a 20-second ad for Nespresso, the espresso company that also hired George Clooney in 2006. The advertisement was directed by Grant Heslov, who produced and co-wrote Monuments Men, which stars Damon and Clooney.
A source tells Page Six, "Matt is one of the few Hollywood stars to have turned down most ad and product-endorsement deals. But this one came with a huge fee and the fact that he'd be working with people he trusts, his ‘Monuments Men’ producer Grant Heslov and co-star George Clooney."
The ad, above, features Clooney wooing a beautiful woman and offering to grab her an espresso, leaving his on the table. Once he leaves to fetch her one, she yells "George Clooney's inside!" and grabs his drink. George is left to deal with the screaming group of women. A 20-second "epilogue" to the advertisement stars Damon and Clooney, with Clooney pulling a similar prank on Damon - but Matt has a few tricks up his sleeve.
