Tommy Lee retires 'rollercoaster of love'
May 28th, 2013 8:41pm EDT
Motley Crue rocker Tommy Lee has retired his showstopping rollercoaster drum kit after a show in New Jersey on Saturday night (25May13).
The 360-degree "rollercoaster of love" became a staple of the band's live show in 2011 and even featured a 'passenger' seat for a lucky fan to ride shotgun as Lee looped the loop, while playing a lengthy drum solo.
But, following a show in Atlantic City on 25 May (13) - the final date on the band's most recent tour - Lee revealed he was retiring the spectacle.
Keen to make sure fans didn't think the decision marked the end of the band, Lee took to Twitter.com and wrote, "Don't you all worry! Just wait till ya see what crazy I got for ya next (sic)!"
Motley Crue will next hit the stage for a residency at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas in the autumn (13).
