Samuel L. Jackson Samuel L. Jackson has launched a new crowdsourcing charity fundraiser by offering up a day out with him as a prize to one lucky donor.

The Pulp Fiction star will lunch with the fan in England and take him or her to an upcoming gala dinner - and it will only cost the person a $3 (£1.90) donation to the Alzheimer's Association.

Jackson followers who want a more permanent and immediate reward can donate more cash and win personalised gifts from the star - a $100 (£65) donation will get the donor a signed photo and for $200 (£129), fans will get a signed Kangol hat.

At press time, over $150,000 (£97,000) had been raised. Jackson has offered to record voicemail messages for three random donors if that figure tops $175,000 (£113,000).
