Tulisa Contostavlos drops fight for sex tape damages
June 6th, 2013 3:10am EDT
Embattled British pop star Tulisa Contostavlos has reportedly given up her fight for damages over her leaked sex tape.
The singer was devastated last year (12) when her ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards circulated a clip of her performing a sex act and filed lawsuits against him and five other men she accused of plotting to release the video.
But according to a new report in Britain's The Sun, Constostavlos is no longer demanding damages for breach of confidence and privacy as her 26-year-old ex has no money.
Her spokesperson tells the publication it was worthwhile pursuing legal action as those involved were "publicly humiliated", adding that his client plans to recover the "lion's share" of her legal costs from bosses of the websites that hosted the explicit footage.
It has been a traumatic week for Contostavlos, who was arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs on Tuesday (04Jun13) after undercover reporters alleged the 24 year old was caught on camera agreeing to arrange a cocaine deal in May (13).
