Actor Ian Ziering struggled to get back in shape to make his debut as a Chippendale dancer after abandoning his regular exercise regime to look after his growing family.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star stripped off in front of a packed crowd at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday (08Jun13) as part of the male dance troupe, but admits that he had to work extra hard to regain his buff body after becoming a father for the second time.
Ziering and his wife Erin Ludwig welcomed a second daughter, Penna Mae, on 25 April (13) and the actor was forced to sacrifice his gym excursions to look after his heavily pregnant wife and their older child, two-tear-old Mia Loren.
He tells Access Hollywood Live, "You really have to make huge sacrifices (as a parent) and that came with losing the hours that I would (normally) go to the gym. (Instead), I would take care of my daughter and make sure that my wife could sleep while she was pregnant... those were the hours that I would go to the gym and take care of myself... You get a little softer. I got up to about 205 pounds... The muffin top was there. My 32 sized-waist paints were muffin topped. It was kind of tough (to get back in shape)."
The 49 year old is not the first famous face to join the Chippendales - 98 Degrees singer Jeff Timmons and Baywatch's Jeremy Jackson have both previously joined the strippers for a Las Vegas residency.
