Kristin Chenoweth Singer/actress Kristin Chenoweth has returned to her native Oklahoma to survey the severe damage caused to the suburb of Moore during a series of deadly tornadoes last month (May13).

The Glee star was left devastated after watching news coverage of the twisters which swept through the town on 20 May (13), killing 24 people and destroying hundreds of homes and levelling buildings, including two elementary schools.

She has since headed home for the first time since the natural disaster and shared a series of photos of the damage on her page on Monday (24Jun13), including pictures of the local hospital and whole neighbourhoods completely wiped out.

Alongside her final snap of a destroyed home, she wrote, "Last pic of tornado damage. I love u (sic) my Oklahoma".

Chenoweth has been helping to raise funds for local families and their pets in the aftermath of the tragedy by selling special T-shirts for her animal charity Maddie's Corner, with funds donated to pets in need of care and medical attention.
