Singer/songwriter Puff Johnson dies

Michael Jackson Singer/songwriter Puff Johnson has died after losing her battle with cervical cancer.

The musician, real name Ewanya Johnson, passed away on Monday (24Jun13) at the age of 40.

Johnson appeared on Tupac Shakur's 1995 album track Me Against the World and went on to release her debut album, Miracle, in 1996, to much acclaim. Her track Over & Over appeared on the soundtrack of the 1996 film The First Wives Club.

A year later (97) she toured Europe as an opening act for Michael Jackson and 3T but subsequently opted to step out of the limelight.

He writes, "RIP Puff Johnson, sad so sad to hear we lost you. So happy I got to work with u (you) and be a part of ur (your) life... One of the greatest talents ever."
