Sharon Osbourne prompts police warning for X Factor bosses

July 21st, 2013 8:40pm EDT

Sharon Osbourne Police in the U.K. have issued a warning to producers of Britain's The X Factor after judge Sharon Osbourne hurled a pen at a contestant.

The music matriarch tossed a pen at an elderly man during an audition last month (Jun13) after he mocked her rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne.

John Johnson, 73, who uses the stage name Jonnie Rocco, was marched away by security guards and later called police over Osbourne's behaviour.

Officers in Manchester, England have since confirmed they will be writing to show bosses to "remind them of the need to conduct themselves in a professional manner," according to a statement obtained by Britain's The Sun newspaper.
