Channing Tatum joins The Lego Movie as Superman
July 22nd, 2013 8:41pm EDT
People magazine's reigning Sexiest Man Alive, Channing Tatum, is to take on the role of Superman in a new movie.
Directors of The Lego Movie announced the hunk will voice the Man of Steel in the film at San Diego, California's Comic-Con on Saturday (21Jul13).
Tatum will join his 21 Jump Street co-star Jonah Hill, Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman and Liam Neeson in the project.
The Lego Movie will follow an average Lego mini-figure, named Emmet, who is mistaken for a Master Builder and tasked with saving the universe from a tyrant trying to destroy it by gluing it together - a feat he is "hopelessly and hilariously under-prepared for," according to the released synopsis.
Emmet will be voiced by Zero Dark Thirty's Chris Pratt.
