Will Young British singer Will Young is keen to take his acting talents to the small screen and sign up for a comedy TV show.

The Leave Right Now hitmaker previously starred in 2005 movie Mrs Henderson Presents opposite Bob Hoskins and Dame Judi Dench and now hopes to show off his comedy chops in front of the camera.

Speaking on U.K. chat show This Morning he revealed his ambitions, saying, "I want to do a comedy TV show drama and I really want to do a detective series. Maybe a period detective."

Young, who is currently starring in a touring production of musical Cabaret, also won a cameo in Ralph Feinnes' film version of Shakespearean tragedy Coriolanus but the appearance failed to make the final cut.
