Patrick Wilson defends co-star Katherine Heigl over diva claims

Katherine Heigl Actor Patrick Wilson has stepped up to defend his former Grey'S Anatomy co-star Katherine Heigl following a report which suggests she behaves badly on the set of her films.

Heigl has been targeted in an expose published in The Hollywood Reporter which accuses the actress of making "movie star demands" during press tours and suffering an overinflated "sense of entitlement", while the article also suggests she is guilty of turning up late to set.

However, Wilson insists Heigl was professional and "gracious" on the set of their new film North of Hell, and he is convinced the negativity stems from the fact she recently landed an exciting new TV role in a spy series.

He tells The Huffington Post, "Now listen, this article (about Heigl) that came out was because... she sold a show last week to NBC. Well great! So what do people do? 'Hey, let's rip her down a few days later'. We all have reputations, whether they're true or not.

"She was not only not all of those things - 'Oh, she was late and never came out of the trailer.' Nothing. She showed up, worked her tail off, super funny, super gracious, great to the cast, great to the crew, and was a total pro. Someone that's been doing it forever. You walk away and you go, 'Well that's a great actress and a great person to work with'.

"I have to defend her because she couldn't have been a better experience."
