Deerhunter axe European tour

Europe Rockers Deerhunter have scrapped their upcoming tour of Europe due to "unforeseen circumstances".

The group, which hails from Atlanta, Georgia, was expected to kick off the month-long trek in Glasgow, Scotland on 13 October (13), but the live gigs have now been axed.

A statement issued by the band, fronted by Bradford Cox, reads: "We are very disappointed to have to cancel our upcoming European tour due to unforeseen circumstances. We were very excited for these shows, but unfortunately family circumstances at home for multiple members of the band have made this unavoidable. We will reschedule as soon as possible."

The rockers are currently in the midst of a series of U.S. concerts, and their shows this week in New York, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and North Carolina will continue as planned.
