Tupac Shakur's mum suing over unpaid royalties

Tupac Shakur Tupac Shakur's mother is taking legal action against music bosses over allegations of unpaid royalties.

Afeni Shakur, co-administrator of the late rapper's estate, has filed a $1.1 million (£733,000) breach of contract lawsuit alleging executives at Entertainment One owe profits from her son's 2007 posthumously released album Beginnings: The Lost Tapes 1988-1991.

According to, Afeni is also demanding Entertainment One bosses hand over the master recordings of all Tupac's unreleased tracks after the firm purchased the rights to the hip-hop legend's music in July (13).
