The Gibson Brothers rule International Bluegrass Music Awards

The Gibson Brothers were the leaders of the pack at the International Bluegrass Music Awards on Thursday night (26Sep13), picking up a handful of top trophies.
The group was named Entertainer of the Year for a second consecutive year at the prizegiving in Raleigh, North Carolina, while bandmember Eric Gibson landed the Songwriter of the Year trophy.
The quintet also scooped awards for Vocal Group of the Year and Song of the Year for They Called it Music.
Other trophies went to Della Mae (Emerging Artist), Junior Sisk (Male Vocalist), Claire Lynch (Female Vocalist) and Balsam Range, who won Album of the Year for Papertown.
Tony Rice and Paul Warren were inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame, and late musician Earl Scruggs, who died last year (12), was remembered as a track from a tribute album in his honour, Foggy Mountain Rock, was named Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year.
