Photographer Tyler Shields' iconic image of a burning Birkin bag has sold for almost the price of the real thing.
The snapper set fire to the red crocodile skin carry-all on his girlfriend Francesca Eastwood's reality TV show Mrs. Eastwood & Company, and captured the model posing by the blazing Birkin.
The controversial shot sold at the Imitate Modern Gallery in London for $75,000 (£50,000). Another Shields Burning Birkin one-off is set to go on sale at the Guy Hepner Gallery in Beverley Hills next month (Nov13).
A similar Birkin bag to the one Shields set on fire sold for $200,000 (£133,000) at an auction in Dallas, Texas two years ago (11).
