Joe Jonas' representative denies drug addiction rumours

October 17th, 2013 3:10am EDT

Joe Jonas A representative for the Jonas Brothers has denied rumours the band split earlier this month (Oct13) because Joe Jonas is battling a drug addiction.

The Burning Up hitmakers scrapped their upcoming tour amid a "deep rift" between the three Jonas boys, who failed to agree on their musical direction.

Since the announcement, middle brother Joe has been spotted out and about Los Angeles, while Nick and Kevin Jonas have been back home on the east coast.

Last week (begs07Oct13) speculation swirled that Joe was headed for rehab, when he was seen with addiction specialist Mike Bayar, who was one of the driving forces behind Demi Lovato's recovery.

However a rep for the Jonas Brothers tells Entertainment Tonight that the addiction rumours are completely false, stating, "There is no truth to it whatsoever."
