Lamar Odom U.S. sports star Lamar Odom has officially avoided prosecution after striking a deal in his paparazzi vandalism case.

Khloe Kardashian's husband was facing charges of vandalism stemming from an incident in July (13) with two photographers in Los Angeles, in which he damaged their equipment.

In August (13), Odom agreed to pay for the destroyed items to avoid prosecution and on Tuesday (05Nov13) he was ordered to attend anger management counselling and required to stay out of trouble for the next year or criminal charges would be filed, according to

The basketball player is still facing a civil suit from snapper Stefan Saad, who is accusing him of destroying $15,000 (£10,000)-worth of goods and is suing for assault, conversion and trespass of property and is demanding more than $565,000 (£376,670), on top of punitive damages.

Odom is also fighting Driving Under the Influence (DUI) charges following an arrest in August (13), when he was allegedly caught driving too slowly on a Los Angeles highway. He was unable to complete a field sobriety test and refused chemical tests to determine his level of intoxication.

Under California law, DUI suspects who refuse such tests are forced to give up their driving privileges for a year, and subsequently, Odom's driver's licence was suspended. He is due back in court later this month (Nov13).
