Carrie Underwood keeps food journal to control her diet

Carrie Underwood Country star Carrie Underwood keeps a journal of her food intake in a bid to halt weight gain - because she can eat and eat.

The Jesus Take the Wheel singer insists she doesn't have any major weight issues, but she rarely feels full.

She tells Redbook magazine, "I can eat a lot. (Husband) Mike and I were in Italy for 10 days and I put on eight pounds.

"I have to make sure I'm not eating just to eat."

She reveals she really started noticing her insatiable appetite shortly after she won TV talent show American Idol in 2005 and went on tour with the other contestants: "We were locked in a room all day with a craft service table. I was bored, so I was just eating. I was never overweight, but I feel better with myself now."
