How far would you go to get money you needed for family? And would you be willing to go as far as to take a life or even risk your own? So is the dilemma of the gun-to-the-head victims in the new flick "13" out on DVD and Blu-ray from the lovingly twisted folks over at Anchor Bay. Ready, aim...and check out the specs below!

The Flick: "13" starts the typical way – down on his luck guy with an ailing family member is trying to get money together to help. (Hasn't this been done to death?!) What is cool is where our timid hero (boyish Sam Riley!) ends up after impersonating a recently deceased man when he overhears talk of a big payday. Given a shirt with the sole number 13, he’s ushered into a big stakes game of...Russian roulette! With memorable players (Ray Winstone and Mickey Rourke fill out the circle!) and gamblers (Jason Statham and a poignantly creepy Ben Gazzara!) filling out this sick bullet ridden congo line, there’s a healthy dose of both ups (the backgrounds on some of the players is delicious!) and downs (the ending just plain sucks ass and Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson is downright awful!), there is enough within the familiar frame work of "13" to make it worth spinning the chamber for.
Best Feature: There is not a single damn extra on this one – not a featurette, commentary or even a friggin’ Michael Shannon blooper reel!
Best Hidden Gem: Michael Shannon plays a pretty basic role of the referee…and infuses it with enough tasty wacky and weird to make even Crispin Glover blush!
Worth the Moola: Could do better, but could do worse, "13" is like the game within – a gamble.
