Gallow pic Snipes. Western. Undead bad guys. We’re checking out the new to DVD flick "Gallowwalkers" out now from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Follow the review of the guns and gunman below!

Title: "Gallowwalkers"

Grade: 2 1/2
Cast: Wesley Snipes, Kevin Howarth, Riley Smith
Director: Andrew Goth
Rating: R
Runtime: 93 minutes
Release Company: Lionsgate Home Entertainment

The Flick: "Gallowwalkers" has both a savory style and story to match, so why does the flick come up short? It just feels here like the potential set by all the good never reaches full peak to overcome the bad. Things like an unber-slow pace, a bad voice-over that distracts (is that Snipes narrating or Luther Vandross?!) and performances that go way over the top all contribute to lessening the impact of what could have been a "Blade"-like comeback for Snipes. Not that the man has lost any of his on-screen prowess or intense deep stare – just wish the flick could back him up.
Best Feature: There’s only a 'Behind the Scenes' with everyone cooing about how the flick jumps genres – it does but it’s not enough.
Best Hidden Gem: Again I’ll give the signature style by Director Andrew Goth a shout out here as with the right script, actors, and editor he could really be a movie visual contender.
Worth the Moola: If you’re craving some long awaited Snipes with a hint of style you could do worse (look at Passenger 57!), but "Gallowwalkers" is far from flawless.
