Chadwick Boseman has gotten the lead role in a biopic of music legend James Brown.
Boseman started gaining popularity after portraying Jackie Robinson, the first African-American professional baseball player in the nation, in the baseball flick 42, which was a hit at the box office earlier this year.
Boseman is now getting ready to embody one of the founding fathers of funk music, Godfather of Soul James Brown.
The Help director Tate Taylor will take charge of the as-yet-untitled project, which is being produced by Mick Jagger's film company.
The movie has been in development for over 10 years, with stars including Eddie Murphy and Wesley Snipes linked to the role.
Brown, the avant-garde performer behind hits including Papa's Got a Brand New Bag and (Get Up I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine, died in 2006 aged 73.
