Lane Garrison Teaching Acting & Screenwriting While Behind Bars
May 16th, 2012 9:45pm EDT
Jailed actor Lane Garrison is serving time behind bars constructively - he's teaching his fellow inmates how to write scripts.
The Prison Break star is currently in custody following a domestic violence arrest last month (Apr12), and he's making the most of his jail time by offering others tips on acting and screenwriting.
Sources tell TMZ.com Garrison is mentoring about 20 prisoners as part of the Los Angeles County Jail's Merit program, which is designed to teach skills inmates can use upon their release.
The website reports Garrison is so committed to giving the inmates he has befriended on the course a boost upon their release, he has offered to continue mentoring the prisoners after he has been released.
