Miley Cyrus: Sex Is Beautiful, Magical And Cool

Miley Cyrus has transformed from being Disney's hottest star for the better part of teen years to becoming a grown-up woman - seemingly overnight.
The 19-year-old star sat down with talk show host Amanda de Cadenet Monday night and shared her feelings about sex in a candid chat for Lifetime's "The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet".
While Miley has come under fire recently over her sexually charged image (including her very risque outfit at Sunday night's Billboard Awards - above) she claims she isn't "trying" to be sexy, and that she's just being herself.
"If people find you sexy, take it as a compliment," the former Hannah Montana star says. "It's just who I am. Thank you for thinking I'm sexy."
And who she is might have something to do with how she feels about her music career - and the careers of young women singers in general.
She says, "[It] used to be if you're a woman you do not sing about sex, and now if that's not what you're singing about, if that's not your entire image, you won't get played [on the radio]."
As far as the act itself, the star of recent flop LOL goes on to reveal her thoughts on the subject, saying that today's young girls take it for granted.
"I was talking about this at dinner last night," she says; "The girls that really base how much they're worth on the sexual favors they can do for somebody - that makes me really sad. Because sex is actually really beautiful. It's the only way we create, and it's the only way the world keeps going."
Miley also thinks that parents should broach the subject with their kids truthfully - by telling them how "magical" and "cool" it really is.
"Kids have a TV, so they know what sex is," she says. "So educate them and let them know... it's a beautiful thing, and it is magic, and it's when you connect with somebody."
