Miranda Lambert Follows Mom's Rule: 'Divorce Is Not An Option'
Miranda Lambert's marriage to Blake Shelton is solid, and the country singer vows that it will last forever, despite all the recent gossip about them breaking up.
Lambert told reporters after last Sunday's Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards that sometimes it's tough because the two singers travel alot, but she and Shelton plan on staying together 'til death do us part,' according to CountryWeekly.com.
"You know, it's not easy all the time being on opposite sides of the country and, you know, traveling and all that," she said. "But when you get to celebrate moments like this together and when you go through the hard stuff together, those are the moments that actually count.
"All the rest is fluff."
Miranda and Blake took the stage together -- looking very much in love -- Sunday night to accept the Best Song award for their collaboration, "Over You"; a career high that Miranda says is no match for her marriage to Shelton.
"Like I always say, my mom said to my dad, 'Divorce is not an option.' So, we really love each other and have a real marriage outside of all of this.
"When this is all said and done, we will be drinking a beer together on a front porch somewhere, reminiscing about the good old days, and that's what I'm happy about."
