Sam Mendes Returning To Direct 24th James Bond Film
Skyfall director Sam Mendes is returning to the James Bond franchise for the spy series' 24th film.
The director, who insisted that he wouldn't be back following the release of Skyfall last November, has had a change of heart. He recently went back on his word and said that he would consider returning and would make a decision after his theater adaptation of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" premiered on London's West End.
Mendes confirmed the news on Thursday, saying in a statement, "I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honour all my theatre commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24. I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time."
The as-yet-untitled film will hit theaters in late 2015. Skyfall screenwriter John Logan will also return to write the script.
