Selena Gomez got a nice 21st birthday present on Wednesday when her debut solo album "Stars Dance" topped the Billboard 200 chart. The album is her first number-one ever and knocked Jay-Z's (*ahem* -- insanely overrated -- *ahem*) "Magna Carta... Holy Grail" from the top spot. We have a feeling Selena's glory will only last about a week as some guy named Robin Thicke just released his new album this week and it only features the summer's biggest hit, which topped the singles chart for like, the millionth week in a row. Country singer Randy Travis was discharged from the Plano, Texas hospital he was in for most of July after suffering heart failure and a stroke. He'll head to a rehab center now, where he's expected to stay for months to re-learn some of the motor skills affected by the stroke. (story)

Music & TV mogul Simon Cowell is set to become a first-time dad at 53 after getting his best friend's wife pregnant. It may sound a bit awkward, but Cowell and socialite Lauren Silverman, 36, hooked up last year while Silverman and her husband Andrew were separated. The couple are still technically married, although a divorce has been in the works for some time. (story)

Author J.K. Rowling sued the law firm that represents her over one of its partners telling a friend that she was actually the secret identity behind author Robert Galbraith. In a completely boneheaded move, that friend (who probably won't be invited to dinner ever again) went and posted the info on Twitter. The company lost the lawsuit and in lieu of damages to Rowling they donated a hefty sum to her favorite charity. (story)

Nick Cannon has reached out to pal Amanda Bynes in an open letter he wrote to her on Wednesday, referring to her as "my sister" and telling her he's there for her. "We all end up alone in that dark hole at some point in our lives and if you don't have a foundation of friends and family to help bring you up and out it makes that journey long and detrimental," he wrote. "...I care and I appreciate you, because that's what family does and that's what family is for." (story)

A judge in Britain's High Court has granted a divorce to TV chef Nigella Lawson and her estranged husband Charles Saatchi. Saatchi was photographed recently with his hands around Lawson's throat during an argument in the outdoor dining area of a London restaurant. Saatchi skirted around an apology, turing it around and saying Lawson has done the same to him on several occasions. Their divorce will be final in about six weeks. (story)

Lindsay Lohan was ordered to attend thrice-a-week rehab sessions for the next 15 months by a L.A. judge on Wednesday. The CEO of the center where she spent the last 90 days recommended the therapy sessions to the judge, saying that if they weren't legally imposed it would set her up for "almost certain failure" after the progress she's already made. Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe are leaving NBC hit comedy "Parks And Recreation" at some point in the middle of its upcoming season. The sixth season premieres in September. (story)
