Adam Lambert Defends Miley Cyrus Over VMAs Performance

Singer Adam Lambert has come to the defense of Miley Cyrus after the former Hannah Montana star caused an uproar over her MTV Video Music Awards performance Sunday night.
The former American Idol runner-up says that Miley, whose sexually-charged performance with pop star Robin Thicke has been heavily criticized, was just "having fun".
The teen singer took to the stage wagging her tongue and twerking to hit single "We Can't Stop" before stripping down to a fleshtone pair of rubber undergarments while Thicke took the stage to belt out his hit "Blurred Lines". The performance featured several instances of Miley rubbing both her own and Thicke's crotches with a giant foam finger and has gotten MTV an official complaint from the Parents Television Council (PTC).
But Lambert, who sparked his own controversy for a gay kiss during his performance at the 2009 American Music Awards, has come to Miley's defense.
"Listen if it wasn't ur cup of tea - all good but why is everyone spazzing? Hey - she's doin something right. We all talkin... I didn't actually state whether or not I liked MileyCyrus performance. I merely said she was having fun and to cut her some slack."
In addition to all the harsh criticism, one British newspaper called Miley "an international laughing stock."
