Rapper DMX Looking To Cash In On George Zimmerman Boxing Match
Rapper DMX has made it very clear that he wants to fight George Zimmerman in a celebrity boxing match, going as far as saying he would "whip out my d**k and piss on him" after he wins.
Last year, Zimmerman was acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges over the death of teenager Trayvon Martin, who he shot in an act of self defense during a neighborhood watch. The controversial verdict in the case has caused racial repercussions because Martin was unarmed and Zimmerman pursued him despite a 911 dispatcher telling him not to do so.
Zimmerman recently announced plans for a celebrity boxing match against any celebrity opponent for three rounds. He plans on donating the money he makes to charity.
DMX was chosen from the 15,000 people who applied to take on Zimmerman, saying that he wants to represent "every black person who has been done wrong in the system."
Boxing promoter Damon Feldman confirmed to TMZ.com on Wednesday that DMX would be Zimmerman's opponent in the ring, but no contract has been signed as of yet because the rapper -- who's spent plenty of time in and out of prison for various crimes -- wants to talk money first.
Domenick Nati, who represents DMX, said that there's a verbal agreement in place, but first and foremost DMX wants to get paid for honoring the memory of Martin and repping everyone who's "been done wrong" by the justice system.
DMX has had his share of legal issues in the past, including arrests for drug possession, animal cruelty, DUI, illegal weapon possession, impersonating a federal officer and attempted carjacking, among others.
