'Scandal' Season 3: 5 Spoilers You Need To Know
October 2nd, 2013 4:30pm EDT
Last season's finale of "Scandal" found our favorite Gladiator the subject of her own crisis, her stalker Jake dumped in the dreaded CIA pit of darkness, and Olivia's (Emmy-nominated Kerry Washington) father was revealed to be the B613's director Rowan. It's been far too long for since ABC's "Scandal" fans have gotten to don their white hats, but on Oct. 3 televisions craziest, sexiest sudser returns, so here are five spoilers you need to know...
Shock and Awe. TVLine.com reports that the premiere episode, titled "It's Handled," will reveal who dropped the bomb that Olivia is the First Mistress. Who has bets on Daddy Dearest? It will also delve into Olivia's Fitz-less past, which up until now has been a mystery. Methinks we'll discover more than the fact that Olivia used to wear braces. Check out this intense sneak peek between daddy and daughter below!
"Scandal" gets mighty "Private." "Private Practice" fans will be thrilled to see alum Paul Adelstein join the cast as a recurring character, according to EW.com. Details surrounding his character are secured tighter than Fitz' motorcade, but "Friends'" Lisa Kudrow and "Heroes" Jack Coleman are also set to guest-star this season.
Biggest. Scandal. Ever. Hold onto your socks, because they're about to knocked off. This season's larger mystery is far more scandalous that Mistress-gate. Cyrus Beene's portrayer Jeff Perry dished to TVGuide.com that the President's right hand man, who we last saw in the hospital with heart problems, will be "transported to a very ominous location for a very ominous meeting in a trunk of a car." Egads!
She-Devil. It's hard to believe that Bellamy Young portrayed a more sympathetic character when she guest-starred Lucifer in "Supernatural" than she does as the First Lady of the United States. Showrunner Shonda Rhimes tells TVLine.com that Mellie and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) aren't exactly remotely happily married, but they are still together at the start of season 3. Mellie will even be in "care-taking mode." Why doesn't that sound remotely comforting?
"Scandal" returns on ABC on Oct. 3 at 10/9 c. Until then, check out this entralling sneak peek below.
