Sofia Vergara was "terrified" about starring in 'Machete Kills'.
The actress is best known for her role as Gloria Pritchett in sitcom 'Modern Family', but her latest role sees her star as fiery assassin Desdemona, and she was worried about tackling such a different role.
She said: "Of course I want to do different things but I liked the fact [director] Robert [Rodriguez] shoots fast and when he asked me if I am willing to do all this, I said yes, but I was terrified on the inside.
"That's a role that is not like any other comedy or action character or assassin. I always wanted to work with him because I think it's a very new, different kind of way of doing movies and he's so involved."
The stunning actress will be seen doing her own stunts in the film and says she looks "really scary" when it comes to violent scenes.
She told Total Film magazine: "I had an amazing time. I was shooting, and jumping, and driving ... and looking crazy. I saw little parts of things and my face is fierce! Like when I'm screaming and killing someone, I'm really scary."
And Sofia brought her obvious sex appeal to the role, which sees her sport a bullet-shooting bra.
She laughed: "My outfit that you see on the poster is called 'casual violence'. Sexy but deadly. I'm shooting bullets out of my boobs. I wonder why Robert wanted me for that kind of character?"
